How do I transport and care for my cake?

Always carry your cake with one hand under the cake box to support the weight of the cake. We recommend that you transport your cake on the floor of the front passenger side of your vehicle. It is imperative to transport your cake in a cool/air conditioned vehicle to prevent melting. Our cakes are decorated with real buttercream, and heat will cause it to melt. Once you reach your destination, we recommend keeping your cake in the refrigerator until approximately an hour before cutting and serving. Please allow the cake to come to room temperature before cutting and serving for optimum taste.

Once your cake has been cut, we recommend wrapping and storing any leftovers in an airtight container and placing it in the refrigerator. Cakes should be consumed within 3-5 days for freshness.

Please Note: Once you (or the person you designate) are in possession of your cake, it is no longer the responsibility of Cocoa’s Cupcakes & Co.
